About Nyimii Kwatl

Nyimii Kwatl was first noticed in 2024 by a YouTube creator named, SD Banks.

Journey of Discovery

As a geology enthusiast with a passion for uncovering Earth's secrets, I set out to explore lesser-known outcrops in the Peninsular Ranges Batholith in search of pegmatites. What began as an ordinary expedition turned into an extraordinary discovery. Nestled within the ancient monzogranite rock formations, I stumbled upon what seemed to be carved features: bedrock mortars, grinding bowls, and cupules.

Each visit to the site revealed more - an intricate story told through stone. The pinnacle of my discovery came when I noticed the alignment of two boulders perched upon slabs of stone. On the winter solstice, the sun rises directly in the gap, perfectly centered. This alignment suggested a level of astronomical sophistication that deepened my admiration for the original inhabitants of this land.

Preserving the Past

Armed with nothing but a YouTube channel and small website I've dedicated my efforts to documenting Nyimii Kwatl and sharing its significance. However, I recognize that preserving and understanding this site requires more expertise than I alone can provide.

I invite voluntary archaeologists and other professionals to collaborate in studying and interpreting this incredible location. Together, we can deepen our understanding of Nyimii Kwatl and ensure its legacy is preserved for future generations.
